Using PI-ACE & PI-MDB in Applications for Hydro Energy Production

PI-ACE and PI-MDB were used extensively to quickly develop and deploy Hydro Energy Production applications such as: Watershed Hydrology – Natural Inflow Calculations; Production Capacity Calculations, and; Small T&D Metering Validation. This presentation focuses on the techniques used, the problems encountered and benefits to BEMI.

Michael Walsh

Michael joined Brascan Energy Marketing Inc. (BEMI) in August of 2002, where he is the Managing Director of Marketing for Brascan Power Corporation clients. Michael spends the lion's share of his time working on long term electricity contracts, and associated projects. Prior to joining BEMI, Michael has worked for CIBC World Markets, as well as the Central Bank of the Republic of Latvia. Michael holds an undergraduate degree in economics from the University of Ottawa and a Master of Industrial Relations degree from Queen's University.
