Metrix Setpoint Announces OEM Partnership with OSIsoft

San Leandro, CA, USA - June 11, 2014

OSIsoft, producer of the PI System, the leading real-time infrastructure for streaming data and events, and Metrix, a leading supplier of API-670 compliant machinery protection and condition monitoring systems, announced today that they have entered into an OEM relationship. Metrix's SETPOINT™ CMS software will use OSIsoft's PI System technology for its underlying real-time data infrastructure.

Combined, Metrix and OSIsoft represent over 75 years delivering leading products to industries such as Power Generation and Oil & Gas industries. Combining real-time process data with vibration data supports earlier diagnosis of equipment issues. As a result, companies will be able to better utilize assets, avoid unexpected failures and reduce capital replacement costs.

SETPOINT hardware from Metrix collects and sends streaming, high-speed, high-resolution data from rotating and reciprocating machinery. To manage the data, Metrix selected the PI System for its capabilities to reliably manage the large volume of high-fidelity, streaming data. Leveraging visualization tools within the PI System, data can be analyzed and interpreted in real-time for rapid decision making. In addition, Metrix now provides a new plug-in to support more advanced visualizations such as spectrum, orbit, time-base, shaft centerline, polar, and bode vibration plots.
